THE weather took its toll this weekend with only 10 games taking place in the Hyndburn and District Boys Football League (sponsored by McDonalds Accrington).

One of the games - the LFA Club Cup competition saw Huncoat United Under 14s travel to Heysham and come away with a tremendous 2-0 win.

In the league, Huncoat Utd Under 12s dropped their first point of the season to second placed Blue Star. In the Under 16s Blue League, Barrowford Celtic picked up their first win of the campaign with a 4-1 win over previously undefeated Brunlea Juniors.
