WILPSHIRE Wanderers claimed their first points of the season in the Under-10s Red Section with a 3-2 victory over Huncoat United.

Only four games survived the weather, but AC Blackburn maintained their unbeaten start with a 5-0 victory over North Valley Dynamoes at Holt House in the Under-11s Blue Section.

In the Red League, Great Harwood Rovers claimed their first win of the season over with a convincing 9-2 scoreline over Wilpshire Wanderers.

Jordan Marsden hit five for the home team and Billy Howarth was named man of the match

The only other game to survive the weather was in the Under-13s section which saw North Valley Dynamoes and Langho Juniors involved in an exciting 12-goal encounter at Holt House.

Langho raced into a commanding 6-1 half-time lead with goals from Jack Tyndall, Chris Rostron, and a spectacular header from Oliver Holgate.

However, North Valley came out a different team in the second period and hit three quick goals, but both teams added to the scoreline with Langho eventually running out 7-5 winners.
