A FURIOUS mother has lashed out at club bosses for allowing her 12-year-old daughter into a popular nightspot.
And Angela Jones is furious that she was forced to pay a £4 entrance fee before she could get into the Blackburn club to find her daughter.
Natasha Coker was in the club with four friends and was hauled out by her irate mother who found her on the dance floor on a busy Friday night.
Mrs Jones, a 33-year-old mother of three, of Wensley Road, Blackburn, said: "Natasha told me she had gone babysitting with a friend.
"The next thing I knew I had a phone call from someone who had seen Natasha in Never Never Land.
"I went straight down and told the bouncers but they didn't seem to care. I was told I had to pay £4 if I wanted to come into the club.
"When I got inside they made me pay another 50p to hang my coat in the cloakroom. The bouncers said I wasn't going to be allowed in unless I hung my coat up."
She added: "The attitude of the bouncers was disgusting and they didn't care less that there was a 12-year-old girl in the club.
"A nightclub is no place to for a child to be and I wanted Natasha out of there as soon as possible."
The angry mum added: "I was furious with Natasha and she has been grounded, there is no way she is going to be allowed to go babysitting or stay at her friends' houses any more. "But I am even angrier with Never Never Land for allowing Angela into the club. She is 12 years old and there is no way she looks old enough to get into a club."
The family plans to complain to the licensing section of Blackburn with Darwen Council about the situation.
Never Never Land owner Margo Grimshaw said: "I do not want to comment on this particular incident although I was not aware of it.
"All our door staff are registered with the council and are highly trained. If they suspect anyone is under age then they will ask for identification.
"The problem is that many of these girls know how to make themselves look older than they really are and many of them have false identification."
