THE first match of the Towneley High School Futsal League kicked off with brilliant start for the Egg Heads who smashed three past the Rejects.
Kieron Craggs was the first to spot cracks in the Rejects' defence to open the scoring and, despite some brave defending, Egg Heads wrapped up victory with a late double from Peter Grime.
However Fantastic Five lead the way on goal difference after the first round of matches after hitting eight past Dreamteam who had a nightmare start to the season.
Darren Crawford soon set Fantastic Five on their way with the open goal and then went on to complete a superb hat-trick.
However it was Dean Knight who was the toast of Fantastic Five when his non-stop running was rewarded with four well taken goals.
David Pollard scored a late goal to complete the rout.
Elsewhere the Untouchables lived up to their name when they beat Hooligans 2-1 who, thankfully, didn't life up to theirs!
In a very tight match, the Hooligans took the lead thanks to Nathan Durking before the Untouchables launched a fine fight-back.
Faheem Hassan eventually equalised and as both teams searched for the winning goal, it was the Untouchables who got it when Colin Jones scored a late winner.
The Rejects and 11 S have yet to kick off their season.
