I AM writing in response to the letter which appeared in the Star under the heading 'It's Just Christian Propaganda.'
I too feel very strongly about Christianity being taught in schools. As a pagan mum I feel Christianity is one religion of many and pupils are being taught a religion which may not be for them.
As for schools teaching a specific religion e.g. Roman Catholic, this is their parents' choice of religion not the children's. Parents should not choose their child's religion, this should be left to the child until he/she is old enough to understand the many and diverse paths.
We are now about to enter the year 2,000 and I feel Christianity still being taught in schools is ridiculous, out-moded and takes away a child's freedom of choice.
When is the Government going to wake up to this?
