THE Divine Light Appeal's grand raffle has been drawn and the winners have been announced.
And the raffle, which was promoted in St George's Shopping Centre for two weeks, has raised the final £2,500 needed to light up St John's for the Millennium.
The appeal hit its target - to raise £65,000 for a dramatic floodlighting scheme - this week.
And local nightspot Tokyo Jo's has pledged to continue the fund-raising with a sponsored dance event.
Winner of the Divine Light raffle was Mrs Hesketh, who was presented with a £500 jewellery voucher for Whittles Jewellers by appeal co-ordinator Roger Argall.
Second prize, of a gold watch from Isis in Lune Street, was won by Mrs Baisbrown, and third - a painting from The Arts Shop - was won by Mrs Walmsley.
