Bjorn Again/Steve Preston, at King George's Hall, Blackburn
THE two tribute acts making a welcome return to the town could have been forgiven for thinking they had travelled back in time when they peered from behind the curtain at the audience.
The 70s being the theme for the night enabled the extroverts - and there were many - to glam up for the event.
Girls decked themselves out in period make-up and dresses, exotic feather boas adorned necks like Christmas tinsel and guys with matching ties and shirts, afro wigs and flares danced the night away.
Steve Preston opened the show "modestly dressed" in Elvis' Las Vegas style white jumpsuit.
CC Rider, the opening song, had the audience clapping along while You Were Always On My Mind made them sit up and listen.
A great opening act from the best Elvis impersonator in the business.
To the strains of Arrival, Bjorn Again came on the stage. Decked out in the outrageously camp costumes of the glam era, the Abba tribute band from Down Under had the packed KGH up on their toes immediately with the first bars of Waterloo.
The Eurovision smash set the pace for the evening as hit after hit was served up for an audience ranging from seven to 70.
Dancing Queen was a particular favourite and predictably Thank You For The Music brought a superb evening to a close.
Bjorn Again are now celebrating their tenth year in the tribute business and are doing a great job too.
Make the most of them - Abba will never get together again.
