ANOTHER obstacle appeared this week on the road to Xanadu.
On Tuesday an inquiry into Xanadu developer Greenbank Partnership's application for a rail station and link road at Kenyon was postponed.
The public inquiry at Leigh Town Hall, following Warrington Council's refusal of the station application, has been postponed until October 25 after a call for a detailed environmental impact assessment.
No-Xanadu campaigner Chris Maile said: "We are happy that at last the Secretary of State has taken on board points we raised.
"But we shall formally object about it having taken so long to arrive at the decision causing the community costs they should not have had to pay."
