PEOPLE power is helping improve services in the South Ribble Area.
Following a series of surveys on cleansing, recycling and parks services, South Ribble Borough Council has used the feedback to improve services more towards the need of customers than ever before.
And in the latest survey, an astonishing 100 per cent of people surveyed revealed that they thought street cleansing staff were well-mannered and efficient and 98 per cent felt their street's were left clean and tidy.
The council was also pleased at the results when people were asked about rubbish collection in the area:
97 per cent felt collectors were well-mannered and efficient;
95 per cent said they were satisfied with the collection service;
94 per cent felt the service was value for money at £265.49 per household per year.
Almost three-quarters of respondents participate in the 'blue bag' recycling scheme and some made calls for it to have more regular collection times.
A council spokesman said: "All customer comments from every survey carried out are used as part of the service review.
"Where customers have identified a particular problem, action has been taken and the customer notified."
