ST JOSEPH'S Under 15s fought out a goalless draw against Great Harwood Rovers at Memorial Park.
They had the edge in the first half, but Rovers fought back well in the second, and overall, a draw was a fair result.
The defence played soundly throughout and centre back Darren Houghton, deservedly won the referee's man of the match award. Ben Pilkington won the manager's award for a tireless display in midfield.
BARROWFORD Celtic lost 1-0 against Salford League side Leigh RMI in the Lancashire Cup.
Good defensive play from both sides saw a very close encounter, but it was Leigh who scrambled a goal right on half-time.
A Conroy, S Dodds, A Fenwick and A Gibson were excellent in defence, while J Hewertson had a good game once again in goal.
