A 68-year-old disabled grandmother is celebrating this week after scooping £58,000 playing bingo at the town's Mecca Club.
The lucky winner, who does not want to be identified, and her husband have been members of the Kirkland Street club since it opened four years ago and they play there four times a week.
Her prize was made up £50,000 on the National Bingo Game, a regional prize of £8,071 and the house prize of £100, after completing a full house in 40 numbers, the fewest anywhere nationwide.
The delighted grandmother, who comes from Sutton Manor, said: "I was in such a state after learning how much it was that I couldn't even sign my name. Everyone kept coming up and congratulating me and shaking my hand and that made me worse.
" I'm getting over it now and I will be back at the club and buying everyone a drink."
