TWENTY firefighters tackled a blaze which ripped through a single-storey industrial unit in Bury, causing an estimated £120,000 worth of damage.
The cause of the fire at KMA Environmental Services in Manor Street is being investigated.
Fire crews arrived at the scene at 11pm on Monday to discover the building well alight.
A storeroom was wrecked along with a number of tyres and bitumen felt. The remainder of the building and the roof were badly damaged as was a skip. The fire also engulfed a lorry and wrecked other items of machinery.
KMA owner, Mr Ged Ashe, said: "We have no idea how the fire started but we will carry on as normal.
"Everything was insured and the fire will not affect our business. We will carry on regardless."
Sections of the building which escaped the flames were heavily smoke logged.
