STANLEY player-manager John Coleman scored the 500th-goal of his career and Jonathan Smith his first for the club.
But a late Leek equaliser denied Coleman a double celebration and the two sides will now meet in their FA Umbro Trophy first round replay at the Crown Ground tomorrow night (kick-off 7.45pm).
Accrington went behind after 15 minutes when Aidan Callan crossed to the far post where Danny Hobby headed the ball down for Scot Dundas to score from close range.
Smith, back in the side after missing two games, then almost put through his own goal.
But Stanley clawed their way back, led by Coleman who met a Gary Williams cross with a powerful header that went just wide.
And a minute later Jamie Speare's long clearance was flicked on by Coleman to Mark Shirley, whose first-time shot from 20 yards was well saved.
However, the Reds equalised after 36 minutes as Coleman reached his landmark. Steve Hollis crossed from the left and Steve Carragher did well to head the ball across the goal for Coleman to dive bravely in at the far post and head home.
An excellent save from Speare to deny Stuart Leicester maintained the status quo before Stanley gained the edge after the break.
Coleman first set up a chance for Carragher before creating an opening for Williams, whose snap-shot was saved by Statham.
Shirley then played a fine ball into the penalty area for Brett Baxter, whose screaming shot was brilliantly saved by Statham.
But Stanley deservedly took the lead after 75 minutes when Shirley's corner was fumbled by Statham and Smith slid in to score his first goal for Stanley.
Leek hit back and after Carragher had cleared a Hobby header off the line the home side made it 2-2 10-minutes from time when Dundas curled home his second of the game.
Stanley's scheduled league game at Ashton United tonight has been postponed.
