IN his speech at the Labour Party Conference, Tony Blair said: "The class war is over."
To ensure this is the case why not abolish all titles both hereditary and created, so that all people who live in Britain are equal citizens?
Also, scrap the undemocratic House of Lords and replace it with a fully elected second chamber.
Elect the head of state as well as police, education and race relations chiefs, judges and magistrates. Give those who serve in the ranks of the armed forces the opportunities to elect their military chiefs.
We will then have a truly equal and democratic country where those who wield state power are directly accountable to the people.
