FENISCOWLES Juniors took one of the only two remaining 100 per cent records with a good victory over St Joseph's in the Under 9s Red section.

Rishton United gained their first win of the season in a close game with Oswaldtwistle Juniors B and Borrowdale United took advantage of postponements by defeating Huncoat United to join two other teams on nine points at the top of the Blue section.

Clitheroe Wolves achieved their first win of the season winning by the odd goal in five against Oswaldtwistle A.

Newchurch Colts made it six wins out of six in the Under 10s red section, while two 100 per cent records fell.

Akzo Red shared a goalless draw with Akzo Green, but Clitheroe Wolves went down at home to Great Harwood Tigers.

In the Blue section, Akzo Juniors, helped by goals from Daniel Pilkington (5) Liam Green (4) and Thomas Painter (4), hit the highest league score of the season against a luckless All Star Boys side. They remain the only team not to have dropped points.

Section leaders Rossendale had a good away victory at Blackburn Boys, while St Joseph's inflicted the first defeat on Feniscowles Blue.

In Under 11s Red, Huncoat Utd maintained their 100 per cent away to Pendle Forest, who made the league leaders work hard for the points. Huncoat struggled to break down a resilient Pendle back line, and in particular some superb keeping from Daniel Tempest, who deservedly won the referee's man of the match award.

Both Clitheroe Wolves and Great Harwood Rovers recorded victories. Both AC Blackburn and Akzo Juniors recorded victories in the Blue section. Blackburn Boys and Huncoat United both recorded good away victories in the Under 12s section to maintain their undefeated starts to the season. Stanhill Juniors recorded a home win against Wilpshire Wanderers.

In the Under 13s, Oswaldtwistle United went goal crazy with a victory over Whitworth, while Knuzden kept up the pace by defeating Great Harwood Town. In the same section STASH, St Joseph's and Clayton all recorded wins.
