COINCIDENCE! A 1962 copy of The Bury Times lay open and undisturbed under the floorboards of an old house in Heywood. When the floor was taken up, the first person to see the paper in 37 years found himself looking at a photo he recognised. It showed Lesley Pomfret, a young teacher who was just off to America. She now lives in Sarasota, Florida; her brother Andrew still lives here in Hillside Crescent, Bury.
