FIFTEEN-year-old Tom Boardman etched his name in British motor-sporting history on Saturday when he won the first ever race in T-Cars, the racing world's under 16 category.
Tom, from Forton, triumphed at Castle Combe in Wiltshire, where his Boardmans Recovery-backed T-Car romped from the last row of the grid to the front of the pack within two laps and held on in front of 14-year-old Tom Kimber-Smith to claim victory by just under a second.
Former autograss racer Boardman was delighted to have taken the first T-Cars win.
He said: "It is great to start the series on a high, especially coming from the back."
