THE 25-year-old man accused with the murder of Preston student Janet Murgatroyd has had his case adjourned.
Andrew Philip Greenwood, of The Maltings, Penwortham, appeared before South Ribble Magistrates' Court, in Leyland, last Friday (October 8).
He was arrested and charged in August with the murder of 20-year-old Janet, whose body was found on the banks of the River Ribble three years ago.
Greenwood was expected to be committed for trial at the Crown Court but magistrates extended the custody time limit, to await forensic results.
Greenwood was remanded in custody for two weeks to appear before the court on Thursday, October 21.
