IT MAY be a new season in the Rossendale Badminton League, but it's the same old story in Division One with Broadway A and Central looking as impregnable as ever.
Champions Broadway, having seen off Blackford Bridge A 18-0, have dropped just one point in three games and Central one in two, so already the stage is set for another battle royal.
In Division Two, Oakgate have got off to a good start with two wins and a draw from four, but relegated Transport A seem to have recovered from their opening disaster at Oakgate with a couple of wins and look capable of mounting a strong challenge. Division Three, Wesley Nomads, with two wins from two, are already on track to bounce back from relegation last season.
Results - Division One: Blackford Bridge A (116) 0, Broadway A (270) 18; Blackford Br B (149) 2, Broadway B (266) 16.
Division Two: Fearns B (223) 10, Badgercote B (209) 8; Broadway C (203) 11, St Thomas (197) 7.
Division Three: Badgercote C (219) 10, St Philip's (190) 8.
