YOUNGSTERS from King Edward and Queen Mary Infant School have helped raise £430 for UNICEF.
The children each took home a Jar of Grace to place on the dinner table and put a few pennies in it each time they ate.
And when the jars were taken back to school it took staff six hours to count the huge pile of coins which were handed over to the Reverend David Phillips, of the White Church, Lytham, at the school's Harvest Festival Service.
UNICEF will be using the funds to target the prevention of blindness in vulnerable children across the world.
