SCORPIONS were missing both half backs from last week in Simon Pritchard and Paul Atkinson and had to reshuffle the team with Shaun Towell and Neil Gavaghan taking over their roles.
Andy Johnston, Paul McAllister and Paul Gray were also missing.
The Scorpions started off brightly amid the majestic surroundings of St Josephs College.
The Scorpions were camped on Shevington's line for the first 10 minutes but just couldn't break down the Shark's defence.
Then their opponents swept the full length of the field for a good try.
They then took control to score three more tries, but as the whistle blew for half-time the Scorpions were once again pressing their opponents' line for the crucial breakthrough with prop Dave Ratcliffe going closest to scoring, leaving the half-time score at 22-0.
Shevington scored another converted try but the Scorpions kept plugging away and both Craig Campbell and hard-working second row forward Danny Padgett were stopped just short of the line.
But the Shevington side, who look good promotion candidates, ran in five more tries to run out easy winners with a 54-0 scoreline.
None worked harder for the Scorpions than Paul Carmody and Dave Ratcliffe, who both put in a tremendous tackling stint.
