I AM trying to track down the addresses of people who started out with me at Darwen Grammar School in the summer of 1945.

A reunion is scheduled for July of next year. What I am attempting is to contact everyone who started out with me and do a newsletter/booklet for the reunion.

I have developed a short questionnaire asking things like what they had been doing for the last 50 years, what they thought of the education they received, most memorable events and teachers, their impressions of growing up in Darwen, their current impressions of Darwen etc.

I was able to come up with 85 names, addresses for about 45, 15 are deceased, but I still need to come up with about 35 addresses.

I have had a good response so far. About 30 people have responded and many have sent pictures and other memorabilia.

As for my own background, I left the Grammar School in September 1950 to emigrate to Canada. I have lived in Toronto, Ottawa, the Boston area, and for the last 32 years in the metropolitan Detroit area.

Any help will be most appreciated.
