STRENUOUS attempts during the week to find a replacement fixture when West Park's scheduled league game at Ashton-on-Mersey was postponed proved abortive.
And Park's senior squad had to be content with a training session, scant preparation for their second round NPI cup date with holders Aldwinians. The match promises to be Park's hardest of the season to date. The kick off is brought forward to 2.30pm to allow for extra time.
Other Saturday Scores: West Park 2nd 55 Ashton-on-Mersey 10, Ashton-on-Mersey 3rd 18 West Park 3rd 5.
Sunday Junior scores: Minis versus Southport under eights won 15-0, under nines drew 30-30, West Park under 15s at Blackbrun lost 5-30. Under 17s at New Brighton won 12-5.
