BAMBER BRIDGE have managed to pick up just one point after a disappointing week of league action.
A 1-1 draw away at Whitby Town on Saturday was followed by a 2-1 defeat at home to Colwyn Bay on Tuesday.
Brig, in short, left it too late to rally against a two-goal deficit and left the game without a point.
However, the league will be the last thing on the Brig players' minds over the weekend as the Irongate lads prepare to push forward in the FA Cup.
They need to beat Lancaster City on Saturday to ensure passage in to the First Round proper draw, which could mean a money-spinning draw against the likes of ... Preston!
Manager Tony Greenwood knows good form is a must this Saturday.
He said: "This is a massive game for the club. Lancaster are in good form and have already beaten us once in the League cup. We need to be focused this weekend."
But injuries look set to pose a problem. Mick Noblett, Stuart Cliff, Neil Reynolds, Shaun McHugh, Dean Cooper and Chris Whittingham are injured, along with Andy Whittaker and Dave Leaver.
