COLIN Hilton, Director of Education and Leisure Services with St Helens Council, is leaving his post to take up a new £90,000 per annum position as Director of Education and Lifelong Learning in Liverpool.
Council Chief Executive, Carole Hudson, said: "Colin joined St Helens from Knowsley two years ago and has done an excellent job in education for the town. He is extremely professional and is very highly regarded by our head teachers, officers and members of the council.
"We know that he will rise to the challenges that will await him in Liverpool. We are sorry to see him go and wish him well for the future.
