MEMBERS of the former St Helens Floral Art Society have voted unanimously to change its name to St Helens Flower Club.
It is hoped that the change will make it more obvious that members don't draw or paint flowers but are a club promoting the hobby of flower arranging.
They have regular demonstrations by visiting demonstrators mainly from the North West area and Cheshire.
The club will meet on the first Tuesday of each month (except January) at 7.30pm at the centre for the Deaf in Dentons Green Lane. Their demonstrations of flower arranging are always open to non-members on payment of an admission charge.
The Christmas Gala Evening will be held on Tuesday, December 7 when Mr Bill Dixon will show that 'All that glitters is not gold.'
Ticket enquiries for the gala can be made by ringing 01744 26704.
