Judge Jules: Feel Tour, at University Of Central Lancashire
HERO-worship used to be reserved for musicians but not any more.
This lecture hall cum amphitheatre was packed with chanting fans of the man who has a weekly dance slot on Radio One. The Students' Union did well to land such a big name.
The Judge's set began with many extended drumrolls which promised more than they delivered when it came to tunes. The chanting of the crowd carried along a rather mundane set to start with. But the tunes got stronger and the melodies became more pronounced as the dancefloor filled to near bursting point. I'm more a fan of harder tunesmiths and, for me Judge Jules isn't the most inspired DJ.
But the many fanatical followers on the dancefloor would beg to differ.
