CLITHEROE manager Steve Parry will be at a loss to explain how his side did not take three points from Saturday's First North Western Trains League Division One clash.
Parry's side allowed visitors Leek to take home a share of the points, although it remains a mystery how Clitheroe did not take all three.
The second half saw Clitheroe dominate their opponents, who were struggling to contain the home side at times as Dennis Hill and Dave Gray tormented the defence. However, it was all to no avail as the end product was sadly lacking.
Despite Clitheroe's early pressure, it was Leek who scored first through Darren Baker. However, it took just five minutes for the home side to pull one back thanks to a fantastic individual effort from Hill.
The Clitheroe winger ghosted through the defence leaving five defenders in his wake as he drove towards goal, before sending the ball crashing into the back of the net. It was a goal worthy of winning any game, but sadly his team-mates could not quite snatch the equaliser their performance deserved.
Hill has really come into his own this season with some great wing play capped off with an impressive tally of eight goals, making the midfield star the club's highest scorer as Clitheroe continue their meteoric rise up the table.
