I AM writing in response to your article on taxis in Burnley (LET, October 5). Many in Burnley are falling to bits and drivers drive about as if they are on a race track. Not one of them wears a badge on his chest where it can be seen properly.
So what is the council doing? We put them in and the people of Burnley can get them out. Burnley councillors are not bothered once they get in the town hall.
I think they are frightened of these drivers and owners.
