A BOGUS electrician conned his way into shops and offices in Burnley and Nelson and stole property.
The crook, who has a strong Irish accent, went into a chartered surveyors on Manchester Road, Nelson, and stole cash.
The next day he went into the Burnley Express on Manchester Road, Burnley, and then an opticians on St James Row.
He took bags, purses, cash and bank cards.
Det Sgt Sam Birtwell said: "The man poses as an electrician and says he has come to carry out work on the office or shop's electrical supply and while in the premises steals property."
The thief is white, 5ft 9ins, mid 40s to 50s, medium build, short straight mousy hair greying at the sides, clean shaven, with a long face.
He was wearing a blue and grey jumper, grey trousers and dark coloured shoes.
