REGARDING 'More chaos on nightmare road' (LET, October 7), this has now gone far beyond a joke.
Surely, all the different agencies wanting to carry out work on the A666 could get together and maybe come up with a carefully thought-out timetable of work, ensuring as little disruption as possible.
Then the 'timetable' could be passed to the council for approval. They could carry out the work at weekends or in the early evenings. Or are these suggestions too simple?
It's OK people saying this work is necessary, but it is necessary that people arrive at work and school on time without having had to set off in the early hours of the morning to allow for road works.
