GREAT Harwood Town frittered away two more home points along with a 4-1 interval lead in a second successive draw at The Showground last night.
Denis Underwood's side had been gifted their enormous half-time advantage by a hopeless display of goalkeeping from Maine Road's Danny Crabtree.
But then they had only themselves to blame as they let it slip against a side who refused to give up and crowned a gutsy comeback with a deserved last-minute equaliser.
Harwood could hardly believe their luck in the first half as the hapless Crabtree allowed Neil Baron's 15th-minute header to sneak under the bar.
Dave Thomas equalised with a good finish five minutes later but Graham Lightbown (26) put Harwood back in front as his pace, not for the first or last time, troubled the visitors.
Martin Aspinwall's imaginative long-range chip was fumbled over the line by Crabtree in the 35th minute and Baron made it 4-1 just before half time following another blunder by the keeper.
But, even though Harwood enjoyed a second-half purple patch when Lightbown, Baron and Aspinwall could all have scored, they defended very poorly to let Maine Road back into the game. A harsh penalty for handling saw Paul Kirkham (69) make it 4-2 then lively sub Jason Anthony scored with two well-struck shots in the 83rd and 90th minutes to complete Harwood's misery.
