BLACKBURN Boys won the under 9's match of the day, defeating Akzo Juniors Blue and remain the only team not to have dropped any points so far this season.

Also in the under 9's Blue section Borrowdale United continued their impressive run of form with a victory over Oswaldtwistle Juniors A. In the Red section both St Joseph's and Feniscowles gained impressive victories, while Readstone United became the first team to take points off Great Harwood Tigers.

In the under 10's Blue league top of the table clash honours were even, with Rossendale Valley and Akzo Juniors sharing the points in a 1-1 draw. The Red section saw Akzo Juniors Red leapfrog Newchurch Colts with a fine 3-0 away win.

Third place Clitheroe Wolves went down by 2-0 at Barrowford, while Great Harwood kept up with the pacesetters with a victory over Blackburn Boys reserves.

Barrowford Celtic maintained their 100 per cent record by hitting 13 without reply in the under 11's red section.

Clitheroe Wolves and Great Harwood Rovers both recorded impressive victories against Pendle Forest and Newchurch Colts respectively.

North Valley Dynamoes recorded their first victory of the season, in the blue section, while AC Blackburn remain undefeated.

In the under 12's both Blackburn Boys and Huncoat United made it four wins out of four, there were also victories for St Joseph's and All Star Boys. Whitworth Wanderers gained their first point of the season in an exciting 3-3 draw with Rossendale Valley, whilst the three teams at the top of the under 13's league all had good wins.
