Readstone United Under-Eights Yellow team conceded a goal with the last kick of the game to lose 4-3 against Foulridge Minors.
Goalscorer were Ryan Pickles (2) and Josh Neary was man of the match. The Under-Eights Blue continued their 100 per cent start to the season with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Salterforth. Thomas Halliwell, man of the match, scored the goal. In the Accrington League the Under-Nines were beaten 2-1 by Great Harwood Rovers. They were unlucky to lose having dominated for long periods. Tim Rakshi scored the goal with Charlie Stanworth man of the match.
In the North Valley League, Readstone's Under-Nines were beaten 4-3 by Foulridge Minors, conceding three goals in the last 10 minutes after leading 3-1. Goalscorers were Neil Kissock, Ryan Brance and Josh Langforld. Elliott Artingstoll was man of the match.
The Under-10s continued their unbeaten start to the season with an emphatic 4-0 victory over Clitheroe Wolves. Goalscorers were Rudi Locketti and man of the match Robert Scott (2). The Under-11s were beaten 3-2 by Borrowdale, man of the match Martin Pollard scoring both goals. The Under-12s were beaten 10-2 by Clitheroe Wolves in a very disappointing performance. Goalscorers were Matthew Whitwell and Michael Whittaker. Benjamin Heap was man of the match.
The Under-13s were beaten 4-0 by Belvedere. They had the better of the first half and should have scored, but fell apart midway through the second half conceding three goals in 10 minutes.
Whalley defeated the Under-14s 1-0. They dominated for long periods, but could not score. Man-of-the-match was Matthew Stanger. The Under-15s were beaten 5-1 by Todmorden Colts, after competing well in the first half, but they struggled in the second. Goal scorer was Nick Harbour with Ryan McBreen man of the match.
Junior Clarets beat the Under-16s 2-1 in a very even match that could have gone either way. Danny Blackburn scored early in the first half for Readstone, but unfortunately they conceded two goals in the second half. Man of the match was Danny Blackburn.
