Bobby Haig has a lot to learn about ice hockey coaching - just ask the man himself.
The Blackburn Hawks player-boss admits he is still learning his trade as he aims to put Hawks back on the hockey map.
"As a coach it's true I have a lot to learn," says Bobby. "I make mistakes like anyone else, but hopefully I will learn from them and become a better coach.
"That can only be good for the team as well as for me profesionally."
Brought down from his native Scotland in 1996 by then-coach Jim Pennycook, Haig took over team affairs at the beginning of last season.
Financial restraints meant that the team had to drop down from the English Premier Division, but Haig has no regrets about taking the job. In fact, he is enjoying the challenge.
"In the long term I am very ambitious for the team.
"I would like to think that we can win this league in a year or two and get back into the English Premier League.
"After that we should be able to start challenging at the top level, and then who knows? The sky's the limit."
