A TAPESTRY created by pupils at a Stacksteads primary school will be viewed by millions of visitors to the Millennium Dome.
Headteacher at St Joseph's RC School Margaret Donnelly said: "We understand that 1.5million children have been involved in making tapestries and it will be about a mile long.
"When it has been in the Dome it will tour the continent before coming back to school."
The school has depicted caring for the local environment and global friendship. The 126 pupils worked with parent co-ordinators Eileen Gordon, a former governor, and Anne Haworth.
Mrs Donnelly added: "The local environment is depicted in the hills of Rossendale, farming land and animals, wildlife, the river and wind farms."
It is hoped the tapestry will go on display in church before it goes to London.
