I WAS saddened to hear about the loss of trade at St Mary's Market resulting in some stall closures and job losses.

Many of these stall-holders have traded in St Helens for a long time and, through their hard work and commitment, they have been loyal to the people of the borough.

Now that the market traders have announced that they are in need of support it it only fair that we return that loyalty and give these people our custom.
