I WRITE in response to Reverend John B Gordon who replied to my letter.
Firstly, you say why did this pagan become a parent in the first place if he/she feels so strongly about this issue. Well to my knowledge choosing to become a parent and my opinion on Christianity being taught in schools are two completely separate issues. You say some atheists/pagans refuse to become parents because they do not deserve to morally indoctrinate their parental off-spring. I have never heard of this.
Also, where is your tolerance and understanding to those who choose not to push religion on to our children. Religion is a personal thing and most pagans, if not all allow our children the space to develop their own personality to grow, and as an individual encourage them to find and research the many paths available.
Basically, to find what is in the heart which even mainstream schools are not encouraging.
I think you would have something to say if another religion, instead of Christianity, was taught in schools.
As a final footnote here's some food for thought - how would you react if Christianity was taken out of schools and replaced with Hinduism.
