GOLF: Clitheroe's Kirsty Taylor could cap her best ever season by claiming a place in the women's European Cup team if she can continue her fine run of form in the final event of the season, the Marrakesh Palmeraie Open, which starts in Morocco today.
The former Curtis Cup player from Lancashire is lying 17th on the money list - and a victory would lift her into the top eight automatic selection spots for next month's European Cup match against the senior men in Portugal.
English pair Trish Johnson, the French Open champion, and Chorley's Lora Fairclough are already assured of their places along with two English absentees this week, Laura Davies and Alison Nicholas.
