AFTER last week's humiliating defeat at Shevington, Blackpool Scorpions needed a confidence booster in their Rugby League match against Lancaster Farms - and the game provided just the tonic as they strolled to a 14-74 victory.
Teenager Ben Simpson started the scoring spree as early as the fifth minute when he raced 50 yards down the touchline, leaving defenders in his wake to score in the corner.
The tries came at regular intervals after that as the Scorpions used their extra pace out wide to run in 13 tries altogether.
Craig Campbell led the way with four tries and both Mark Chapman and Danny Padgett completed hat-tricks.
Further tries came from Simon Pritchard, Neil Gavaghan and Jamie Ashworth, who scored his first try for the club.
Paul Harte is improving with every game and Peter Jones made an impressive debut in the second row.
