A NEW research centre to help design products has been opened at a clean air firm.
Envair, which produces specialist products for clean rooms for the health and pharmaceutical industries, has invested in the new facility at its Helmshore site.
"The new research and development room will give our designers a vastly improved facility to create new products," said managing director Steve Kinsey.
"The first of those products is well advanced and we have three more in the pipeline."
The firm, which employs 67 at its York Avenue site and has a turnover of £6.5million, supplies products to major firms including Smith & Nephew and Glaxo. The investment in the new facility was helped by a £3,364 grant from the Action for Haslingden Partnership.
