GRANDAD Peter Fielding plans to walk a mile for every year of his life to raise money for a new school roof.
The 60-year-old will trek from Lancaster to Blackburn via Burnley during the 24-hour sponsored challenge.
Supporters will join him for sections of the trek on November 13 and 14.
The retired butcher of Brownhill Drive, Blackburn, is hoping to raise £1,000 for a roof appeal at St Gabriel's Primary School in Blackburn, where two of his seven grandchildren attend.
He said: "I'm hoping anybody with past or present connections with the school will sponsor me or take part."
Details from Mr Fielding on 01254 245328 or the school on 01254 249462.
