SUCCESS-starved Burnley will be out to avoid an upset and put the record straight for a national television audience when they launch their FA Cup campaign at Barnet.
The Clarets have lost to Third Division opposition for the last two years.
So the number one aim will be to steer clear of an unwanted hat-trick against the Londonders at Underhill on Sunday.
But there's also an added incentive of producing the goods in the front of Sky Television, who broadcast Burnley's first home defeat of the season against Scunthorpe a fortnight ago.
"It's another chance to show what we can do because we didn't really show people what a good side we are," admitted full-back Dean West.
"It's another opportunity and we will go there looking for a win."
Burnley took another important step towards their promotion goal on Saturday with an impressive 2-0 victory over Bristol City at Turf Moor.
But now all thoughts are focused on the Cup and West is pleased enough with the Clarets' first-round draw.
"We haven't thought too much about it so far," said West.
"You've really got to concentrate on one game at a time but it's not a bad draw for us. We're doing well at the moment so we are happy with it."
Barnet suffered a rare setback at home to Torquay on Saturday - watched by a Burnley representative.
But they are still two points clear at the top of the Third Division and have only lost twice this season. Manager John Still also boasts previous Cup success with Coventry and he is relishing Burnley's visit.
"In one respect it's a game for us to enjoy because the pressure is off from the league," said Still.
"But we'll be ready for them and we'll be up for it, because it's a great game for everybody and we are going to try and make it a great day for Barnet. "Under no circumstances will we fear Burnley.
"This is what the cup is all about and we can't wait for Sunday to come round."
Meanwhile, Burnley boss Stan Ternent has confirmed Tom Cowan will play in tomorrow night's reserve game against Tranmere at Turf Moor after coming through training yesterday without a reaction.
Cowan has been out of action since he picked up a hamstring injury in a reserve game two weeks ago.
But Matty Heywood, Chris Scott and Alex Kevan are all struggling to be fit for the clash.
