A BOY aged 13 has been charged with attempted murder after a woman was found with multiple stab wounds at a house in Accrington.
Kalsoom Bibi, 29, was found with seven stab wounds after an alleged attack at her home in Richmond Road at 5pm on Sunday.
She underwent five-and-a-half hours of emergency surgery at Blackburn Royal Infirmary and was today said to be "poorly but stable" in hospital.
Police said Mrs Bibi made her way to a neighbour's house after she sustained her injuries, and a 999 call was made. A 13-year-old boy was arrested later that night in the Fern Gore area of town.
The boy, from Accrington, was today set to appear before Hyndburn youth court today charged with attempted murder.
