A TEENAGER was granted a conditional discharge for 12 months and ordered to pay £118 costs by Blackburn magistrates after pleading guilty to possessing cannabis.
The court heard that police approached Rafik Lorgat's car late at night when it was parked on a grassy area near Robinson Street.
They noticed the smell of cannabis and as Lorgat stepped out the officers found a small piece of the drug on his seat.
Basharat Ditta, defending, said Lorgat 18, of Whalley Old Road, Little Harwood, had no previous convictions and had been in possession of a very small amount of cannabis, not more than £2 worth.
