I AM engaged in research into disabled women who have suffered domestic violence and the problems they may have faced in securing a place at a refuge.
I would like to hear from anyone who has found themselves in this situation. I can guarantee that anyone who contacts me will be treated with the utmost respect and, if they should require it, anonymity.
Initially, the research will consist of a written questionnaire, or a telephone or personal interview with either myself or a female colleague, depending on the personal reference of respondents. I am a qualified social worker, employed by Scope, the cerebral palsy charity.
My aim in conducting the research is to improve the services and accessibility of women's refuges in Lancashire.
