HAVING followed the long-running saga of resignations from the Racial Equality Council and from Blackburn with Darwen Council, I am sure there are other readers besides myself who are confused as to what is going on.
Mohammed Khan resigns as chairman of housing, as does his vice chairman for events linked solely to the REC.
Now we are told they have done nothing wrong, have been totally cleared and been subjected to a disgraceful witch-hunt (Letters, October 18).
This being so, can someone who has allowed these resignations to take place, come forward and explain why these people have not been reinstated to their former positions?
Also, should not those who stepped into these vacancies, if they have not already done so, do the honourable thing and stand aside to let these two much-maligned councillors, now found innocent, return to their old positions, which they should obviously never have given up in the first place.
