A LATE try cost Leigh East victory at Shaw Cross.
With 82 minutes played East were 19-14 up and camped on the Dewsbury side's line. But in the dying seconds the home side went the full length of the pitch for a converted try - and a dramatic 20-19 win.
East quickly fell behind, but bounced back following a move from David Kay and Lee Penkywicz which saw Mark Kay score. John Gunning added the goal.
Shaw Cross drew level but East forged ahead again with a Penkywicz touchdown.
Shaw Cross scored a converted try to lead 12-10, then came an exchange of penalties, Gunning on target.
East hit back when Gredecki scored a try and Gunning added the goal.
A drop goal put East 19-14 in front and what looked like a win but the Yorkshiremen had other ideas!
East Tigers won 44-20 at Saddleworth Rangers with tries for MoM Iain Jolley 2, Adam McGuire 2, Daniel Weaving, Andrew Keating, Karl Morris, Phil Taylor and Lyndon Robertson. But they lost 20-4 to Pilkington Recs, MoM Robert Tickle scoring the only try.
ROYAL OAK crashed 22-0 at Bamber Bridge in the NorthWest Counties Division Four with the pack totally out of sorts. MoM D Fishwick.

In Saturday's BARLA Lancashire Cup (3rd round) Leigh MR are home to Langworthy and Leigh East are at Thatto Heath.
