LEIGH Sportsmen put in a 10 star performance in Division Two of the Leigh & District Amateur Football League.
They beat Fir Tree Rangers 6-0 - with goals from Jason Caldwell 4, Mark Mather and Gary James - to make it 10 wins out of 10.
Nearest rivals Howe Bridge Mills Res slumped to a 3-1 defeat at lowly Sir Charles Napier and are now eight points behind.
Paul Smith, Albert Griffiths and Mark Thompson were on target for the Golborne side, Paul Anderton replied.
Third placed Britannia kept up the pressure on the Mills with an 8-0 win at bottom side Black Horse, and are only two points adrift with a game in hand.
Mark Bretherton hit a hat trick and other goals came from Ian McKinnon, Mick McNally, Dave Sweeney, Mick Bradley and Chris Keeley.
Ryan Shaw scored a hat trick in Atherton C&N's 6-1 win at Atherton Royal. Other C&N goals from Carl Wallace, Steve Harris and Adam Miller. Mark Pendlebury replied.
Brewery Inn moved off the bottom of the table with a 2-0 win at Courts. John Vaughton and Harry Burrows netted.
In Division One, table toppers Higher Fold LC beat Hag Fold WMC 5-1 with goals from Stephen Critchley 2, Jody Holt, Neil Clayton and Stephen Connor. Alan Hall replied.
Second placed Leigh Phoenix beat Royal Oak 5-1. Steve Anderton and Wayne Pitchford netted two each, Simon Whittacker added the fifth. Tony Halliwell scored for Oak.
Phoenix are just six points behind with a game in hand.
Queens beat AFC Limelight 3-2 with goals from Gary Grundy, Peter Jackson and Lee Birchall. Limelight replied through Gary Newby and Gary Renshaw.
Astley Villa beat bottom side Angel 8-0. On target were Michael Lomas 3, Craig Guest 2, and one each from Paul Phillips, Andy Ridge and Matt Willan.
Leigh Three Crowns had a fine 3-2 win at fourth placed Church Inn.
Kevin Parker 2 and Dave Jones netted for the Crowns, Paul Millard and Mike Haseldon replied.
Another good away win came from Bowling Green Eagles who beat Union Arms 4-3.
Mark Tootil, Paul Forshaw, Greg Anderton and Michael O'Brien scored for the Eagles, Lee Cambray 2 and Danny Toone replied.
