WOW what a week! A couple of first rate gigs from Travis and Cast, Dina Carroll turning up as our surpise guest at Radio City's 25th birthday party and then to cap it all, Westlife beating the Backstreet Boys in the race for No 1, proving the Irish boys are now pop's hottest boy band. But enough abuot all that, let's check out some new tunes in the Starbeat record review... Heartbreaker - Mariah Carey

The Americans have already gone mad for this one and though, she has a huge following over there, she still has mass appeal over here too. Mariah fans will think this is one of her strongest offerings for a long time. Her voice is as captivating as ever and the tune is a real toe tapper.

Closing Time - Semisonic

I couldn't imagine a better follow up to the excellent 'Secret Smile'. Another great pop single from the lads, with first rate vocals too.

I Knew I Loved You - Savage Garden

The Aussies are producing some of the most memorable songs of recent times, but this one goes back to the style of 'Truly, Madly, Deeply', which is by far their biggest hit to date. And though it's not quite as strong, it will strike a chord with romantics out there.
